Homecoming King Gave His Crown to Student with Down Syndrome Made Everyone Feel So Warm Hearted

Being chosen as the homecoming king or queen is truly a great privilege and honor. Somebody could have the bragging rights and be known by many. It is something that you should be proud of. Everyone is excited to this most awaited memorable moment and can’t wait to be crowned as king and queen.

Brad Cooley is a senior student from Douglas County High School which have been crowned as the homecoming king along with his queen Meghan Bailey. Meghan is a 17-year-old girl with cerebral palsy that prevents her from speaking. Twelve years ago she met her best friend named Ian Brennan who has down syndrome. Before the evening dance, Brad decided to step down as the homecoming king and gave his crown to Ian. Everyone was shocked by this humble heart and it made Meghan so happy as they have planned to go to the dance together. Nobody expected Brad to do such a thing but this simple act of kindness made Ian’s heart burst with too much happiness. Ian’s dad Jim was also amazed at this young man’s generous gesture.
