Anna Mclean together with her 7-year-old sister and husband went out for lunch at the local Chili’s restaurant. Arianna, Anna’s mentally challenged sister loves cheeseburger so much and being autistic, Arianna is very particular with her eating habits. The food that they ordered came and Anna noticed that Arianna suddenly refused to eat her food. the cheeseburger was cut in half and that is why she does not want to eat it. Anna immediately asks the waitress for a new burger and calmed her worried sister.
She kindly explained to the concerned waitress that the first burger was fine but Arianna would just like to have an uncut burger instead and wouldn’t mind paying for it. the concerned waitress immediately bent down and sincerely apologized and vowed to urgently get an unbroken cheeseburger for her and just a few seconds later, out of the manager’s kindness, she came to Arianna with a plate of french fries to nibble on while waiting. A few minutes later the waitress came back with a new uncut cheeseburger. Out of Arianna’s excitement and happiness, she paused and exclaimed when she got her desired cheeseburger, kissing the burger over and over.
Anna was overwhelmed with the staffs’ kindness to her mentally challenged sister. All it took was an uncut cheeseburger, and the commotion was avoided, as the Bible says in Hebrews 13:2 “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it”. Anna showed the concerned waitress the picture of Arianna kissing the burger and the waitress showed it to the whole restaurant crew. As a result, everyone was happy to help a special little lady in a simple way. It will always never hurt to show a little bit of kindness even on a challenging situation. As they say, no act of kindness no matter how small is ever wasted.
