Woman Turned Her Back As A Jehovah’s Witness After Hearing Hebrews 2: 3 Preached In Church

I come from a broken family, my mom and dad separated when I was four years old. Around that time the Jehovah’s Witness was with my mom and she has been trying to find out the truth about what the Bible says. The more she read the Bible the more she felt that she needs to do something more than what she was doing in the present.

When she asked her minister about her salvation he told her not to worry about these things. For years she thought she got the answers she needed from the Witnesses since they were very well-versed about the Bible. From here on out she became fully involved as a Jehovah’s Witness and very soon I too became involved.

On Tuesdays, I would join the Bible studies, which were not really Bible studies but merely reading the books that come from the Watchtower Society. Then on Thursdays, I did role-playing so I would learn how to talk to people about Jehovah’s Witness. There was no Bible studying involve and we would only use a verse or two as a reference.

That was how my childhood went as a Jehovah’s Witness. I didn’t believe that I would go to heaven but believed that I would live in a paradise earth. I didn’t believe in hell and had wrong viewers about the Lord Jesus Christ.

However, my beliefs changed at 20 years old when I met Armand in the same restaurant where I worked as a waitress while studying at university. His family brought me to God after they shared their stories of how the Lord saved them and shared their firm belief that they are going to heaven.

Armand was an atheist but that changed after he went to church. I noticed the changes it brought in his life. He no longer went to nightclubs, cleaned up his language, and just wanted to go to church all the time. I joined him to church on May 24, 2002, and heard a passage from Hebrews 2: 3 that really affected me.

From the moment on I became a changed person. It’s like the Lord opened my eyes and I could see my need for him. I could see that I was a sinner and that the only thing I needed was the Lord. That night I put my faith in him.

Going to church brought me closer to God. I developed a personal relationship with him which I didn’t have as a Jehovah’s Witness. As a Christian, I can pray to my savior directly and I know that he hears my prayers.
